untitled accolade He's the one the students call boring. Salt and pepper hair he never seems to notice sticking up and an assortment of button-up-the-front shirts that smell faintly of smoke are absolute truths about this man. When he walks into class, the resulting silence is empty only because the current group of students stopped complaining for a moment. They are so certain of themselves, so snide when they laugh at his inept use of technology, at the inscrutable writing. The writing is what always catches the eye, though. To the girl teaching herself to fly: don't promise me tomorrow. When you look at me, tell me what you see: autumn's warmth? approaching spring? anechoic screams? a misty morning looking for signs of winter? My deviantART story

...because I'm always a day late on everything.  Though, for once, my excuse this time is that I was busy accepting a job offer (excitedness!). I did some lurking on DA when I was younger, say 2006-early 2007, because I was in love with all things anime, and, well, DA was a great place to find it.  Eventually, after joining an Artemis Fowl-centric forum, I finally had something I loved enough to make fanart of, so I joined in October of 2007 and started churning out bad fanart.  I think most of it's still there, way back in my deviations folder. :P  I eventually added some amateur photography (which I still do, whenever I'm in the mood), and

...because Mutemath is officially one of my favorite bands now. At any rate, it's been a ridiculously busy summer, and I'm hoping that with school starting in a month, it'll start to cool down.  I'll be nannying for a good friend, as she is in her first trimester with her fourth child, and for her, the first tri is always the hardest.  I love the kids, though, so I think it'll be fun.  Can't wait to have my own someday. On a completely different note, I really need to start writing more short stories, so if anyone has some advice/knows where to get some good prompts, I am completely open to receiving it!  I'm also trying to work on my book,

You deserve better [so i'm setting you free]

All I've got to say is that I started writing this journal, and it evolved into a piece of its own.  I'll post it soon, so if you're interested, it'll be titled something like "All My Love". Anyhoo, I just wanted to drop a line and let people know that I'm working through deviations again.  I had a period of intense school busyness, and I couldn't handle the stress of trying to work through all my DA stuff as well. =(  At any rate, I'm planning on getting through most of it, if not all of it, in the next week, so bear with me as I get back to your comments, favorites, and deviations.
