This too a long time; I've been working on it for at least three weeks. I know, that's a long time for something as not-super as this, but I had so much of everything going on...and I had to redo some stuff, and it still looks kind of crappy in a couple places...ah well. We'll just pretend the crappy parts aren't there. ^^
Okay, explanation! I'll do this as well as I can, but I can't promise it won't be confusing. Lo siento.
Starting with the upper left corner piece with the wings in it? That was partially Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle inspired. Like Mokona's wings.
The one to the left of that is just hearts; nothing really special about that.
The one to the right of the wing one is supposed to be funny. There's a law that you can't walk across the border from Minnesota to Wisconson with a duck on your head. ^^
Next to the right is the moon and stars...yeah. I love drawing the moon; it's so cute. ^^
To the right of that, is a girl in the upper piece and a guy in the lower piece. They're trying to touch hands, but there's something preventing them from getting to each other. Also inspired by Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, where Mama Sakura and Papa Syaoran are in the glass tube thingy. I always thought that part was so tragic...so yeah. I know, they look nothing like them, but it's supposed to be that way.
Below those two is a watch on a chain, and in the little circle it says "Tempus Fugit", which is "Time Flies" in Latin. ^^
To the left of that is a flower. Duh.
Left of that is supposed to be an expecting woman, a child touching her stomach, and her husband with his hand on her shoulder. I screwed up on his face, which is why it's scribbled so dark. ;
Below that is a rabbit thing...inspired by Mokona from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, again, but it's not him, lo siento. No jewel thing in his forehead...yeah. ^^
To the right of that, after the flower, is supposed to be the sun, but the scanner chopped its face off. *sighs*
To the right of that, our last piece, is eyes, symbolizing emotions. I couldn't get more than two in there, but one is supposed to be sadness(hence the tear flow) and the other one is resolve.
Whoo...that took a while...but it was fun. ^^ Good on anyone who read through this entire thing.
I know it's not the most original renindition, but I really enjoyed drawing it. Everything in a panel is a 'uzzle' or mystery to me...so yeah. ^^
This is, like the title says, #98 in the Hundred Themes Challenge, Puzzle.
I give permission to to add this to their gallery.
Oohh...you really think so? I'll color, it then. By hand, almost defintiely; I'm no good at photoshop, though I would absolutely love to get good at it. ^^

Photoshop is pretty much only two things: intuition and patience. Intuition you can get by using all of its functions over and over again to experiment with the results and be looking at tutorials. Patience...well, you could imagine xD
Coloring in PS is really, really easy, though, just make a new layer and set it to 'Multiply' (or 'linear burn' if you want a slightly more dramatic effect', and after that just color away.

Ahh...yeah. ^^ I'm thinking of getting my brother, a photographer, to teach me...though I don't know that I'll be able to afford the program for a while yet. But ah well; I can wait until I have money. ^^
Sounds good...I will definitely be learning PS. ^^

I got mine free. I don't know how, or if it's even legal, but I just asked my dad 'hey, I want photoshop' and he just goes and hands me the serial numbers.
I use PS7. No fancy nonsense, I'm comfortable with it.
really, it's as easy as paint with coloring, and it's a lot easier to shade, a la burn and dodge tools.

Ah. It's funny 'cause the name is 100 Themes Challenge, so I was wondering why it suddenly became HTC. Anyway. I'm already doing the 100 themes challenge.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

You should totally color it--if not by hand, then at least in Photoshop.

Ooh, yayness! I love finding other people who are doing the same thing; somehow it isn't so overwhelming anymore.
